Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink

Located in the heart of Miami’s Design District is Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink. I had been in Florida for about a week after Miami Music Week this year (March 2015) and had to come and see what the hype was all about. This place is what I imagine Miami’s up-and-coming food scene to be all about: fresh and simple with a cuban flair. I went for lunch without a reservation and was lucky enough to squeeze in without waiting. Don’t get me wrong, the place was fully packed inside-and-out. Everyone seemed to be having a great time; and meal! I ordered all the Yelp recommended dishes: Pig ears, deviled eggs, fresh burrata salad and the short rib and fontina panini. The heirloom tomatoes and burrata salad drizzled with olive oil was what stood out the most.
